The challenges of today’s legal and business environment can appear to be never ending. One, such challenge is making sure your legal entities stay in compliance with every changing state and federal rules. This one-hour presentation is an overview of this modern compliance arena. The topics covered includes:

2.) Lifecycle of the entity
3.) Compliance Reporting tasks.
This presentation also takes a legal review of piercing the corporate veil by way of statutory and case review.
Dan Lias is the UCC Business Consultant in the Chicago office of CT. He works primarily with area law firms in terms of their due diligence searches and filings. He shares market knowledge with the firms and assists in developing a strategy that meets the firm's specific needs. He graduated from the University of South Dakota Law School and has several years of experience working with UCC related issues in both his private practice and when he was corporate counsel for an invoice factoring firm. He is a member of the South Dakota State Bar Association, The Chicago Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Sharon Carroll is a Compliance Business Consultant with CT Corporation. Based in Chicago, she works with customers to identify their compliance needs and the appropriate CT solution. With more than 20 years’ experience, Sharon has a unique perspective on the common compliance issues companies’ face. Whether needs are based around Entity Management, Business Licensing, Annual Reports, or day-to-day activities, Sharon understands what the right solution is. In addition to a BS from Illinois State University, Sharon holds a Paralegal certificate from Roosevelt University and an MA from Lewis University in Organizational Leadership. She is also a member of the Society for Corporate Governance.
