The 2023 Annual Meeting was held on April 13th. Samantha Misch was elected to her first term as a Director of IPA, along with re-elected Directors Catherine Antolec, Larice Davis, Jennifer Fryer, and Liana Podman.  Following the Annual Meeting, the new Board of Directors held their first board meeting and elected Melissa Jurik to another term as President, as well as Catherine Antolec (Vice President), Liana Podman (Treasurer), and Sally Fleissner (Secretary).

Samantha joined the IPA in 2020.  She earned her Paralegal certificate from College of Lake County and is a regulatory compliance paralegal for Green Thumb Industries.  The IPA Board will be served well with Samantha as a member.

Other business conducted during the first Board of Directors meeting was the aapointment of Mary Kay Lieberman, RP, ILAP, as an Honorary Member.  Mary Kay become a member of IPA in the early 1980s and served on the IPA Board for many years and as a commmittee chairperson.  She also served the IPA as a past President.  Mary Kay also frequently presented sessions on UPL and Ethics at IPA Education Conferences. Mary Kay retired in 2022.

The IPA Board of Directors will continue to mostly meet virtually on the first Monday of the month, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, but will also hold in-person Board meetings quarterly.  I hope you will join us for these Board meetings!
