Cruise with the IPA at the 2026 Summer Spectacular!
The Illinois Paralegal Association’s Summer Spectacular returns to the water in 2026! On September 16, we’ll cruise Chicago’s lakefront aboard City Cruises’ Spirit of Navy Pier. Join us for drinks and appetizers on the private Horizon deck and network with your fellow paralegals, your Board of Directors, and our sponsors, litigation support vendors whose services can make your life as a paralegal a little bit easier.
Never been to an IPA event? The 50th anniversary cruise in 2022 was my own first social event with the Association. I attended alone out of curiosity and met so many wonderful people out enjoying the beautiful evening. That day I also met most of the current board (wearing hula skirts! I have pictures) and speaking to them first sparked my interest in becoming more involved with the IPA and eventually joining the board myself.
There were other options for our annual summer event, and you may see invitations to some of those in the future, but in talking to my fellow board members about this year’s party, we realized together how many of us were inspired by that 2022 cruise to attend additional social and educational events, to lead committees, and eventually, to join the board itself. We hope you’ll join us and experience the same sense of inspiration and camaraderie.
As with all our events, it is the attendees that make it special. If you have a friend or coworker that might benefit from IPA membership, invite them! We’d love to meet them and enjoy what is sure to be a blast with us.
